Good to see that you are visiting Dingwall Museum

We are now closed for the season, opening again around Easter 2026. We look forward to seeing you in person then, so keep checking our What's On page for events.

Our volunteers will be working away behind the scenes preparing for the year ahead

We're hiring again!

The Museum is undertaking a new project to upgrade our design templates and information boards

We looking for someone to facilitate a Day's Workshop to create a preferred design, and then      someone with graphic design skills to make that design real. The two roles could be taken by one  person, or two.

See here for more information and application details

We will be opening our doors for the season in early April.

We closed a little earlier than usual last year as building work was needed for Eagle House, of which we occupy the ground floor room.

We look forward to opening to members of the public again in April next year.

Meanwhile, behind the scenes, our volunteer team will be active within the museum, working on updating the displays and accessionning the collection.

Forbes has just provided a new blog post in the Explore>People part of the website. He describes the lives of a father and two sons who were instrumental in Madras, India and the emerging colonies in East Africa. See here. It's an interesting read...
