Meet the Viking and learn about his lifestyle, ask away during the Q&A sessions and get your hands on some objects that would have been used by the Viking people.
Andrew Newton is a retired NHS Consultant who now volunteers as a heritage educator. He’s a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, a regular contributor to the Online Young Archaeologists’ Club in Archaeology Scotland, and an ambassador for their Heritage Heroes programme. Andrew regularly volunteers at museums across the country, including at Hadrian’s Wall, Trimontium in Melrose and Groam House Museum in Rosemarkie.

Come to a meeting hosted by Roland Spencer-Jones, Susan Kruse & Gordon Sleight from the Museum. This is part of the Museum's 50th year celebrations.
People will be invited to share memories and stories about Muir of Ord and Tarradale.
We will bring some of the photographs and artefacts in Dingwall Museum’s collection relating to Muir of Ord.
If you're coming, do bring any old photographs or old artefacts you might have!

Learn how to explore the Highland Environment Record (HER), which contains over 100,000 records detailing the heritage of The Highland Council area from the earliest human activity to the Cold War.
Susan Kruse is Dingwall Museum volunteer and the founding member of Archaeology for Communities in the Highlands (ARCH).

Come to Dingwall Museum to make your very own beaker bowl. Based on the Brahan Urn, the Museum’s prehistoric food urn, you’ll coil-build your very own bowl and decorate with incised decorations.
